New Work

by meanmcclean on February 22nd, 2010

I know it has been a while since I made a new post, and I want to take this time to apologize.  I have been on my BS.   With that said I am now working on a new project in Java, and android game development.  I will be uploading some new things to this site regarding game development on the Android platform.  I am truely excited and cannot wait to showcase the goodies.  Comments, advise, etc is well welcomed.

Flex In A Week

by meanmcclean on July 18th, 2009

Currently I am working on learning and implementing Adobe Flex as my first step towards web development.  I am currently using the Flex In A Week tutorial to get things started.  My goal is to build a photo viewer to display pictures of events in my life on my site.  Wish me luck.

The flex in a week tutorial can be found on the Adobe Developer Connection Website linked here; http://www.adobe.com/devnet/flex/videotraining/

Adobe has put together a great tutorial with video content to assist people like me in learning Adobe Flex.  I by no means take ownership of any information found on this site

Flash Officially Ported to Android

by meanmcclean on July 18th, 2009

This is from an article Adobe Flash Officially Ported to ARM-based Android Devices.  With Flash 10 confirmed to come, Android developers will be able to use “real” Flash and large chunks of their web code for mobile, adding a new dimension to the use of Flash in mobile. On top of that Flash 10 is a quantum leap in performance. Flash Lite, simplified, is a poor version of Flash 8. Between Flash 8 and 10 there are three years of development. Flash Lite has relatively poor graphical performance and handles sound poorly as well.  This is already out in the wild and can be found running on a T-Mobile G1 near you, if you Root your device and port one of the new Hero Bulds to it from xda-developers that is.  Test it out if you are daring and see if you like.

New TV Series “Dark Blue”

by meanmcclean on July 16th, 2009

I think that I have found a new show to tune into on TNT. It is called Dark Blue. Its a new cop drama directed by Jerry Bruckheimer. If you have an empty space after long running series such as The Shield, well look no more. This show has it all; Mystery, Drama, and Jam pack filled with Action, oh boy does it have action. There is only one episode so far but man I think im hooked along with the other 3.5 Million that tuned in last night. One notable which has nothing to do with how great I think the show will be is that the entire cast uses T-Mobile phones, namely the T-Mobile G1. As a proud Android supporter and owner of the G1 thats a big ups to the community. Tune in Wednesdays at 10pm EST and you wont be disappointed. Heres a sneak peak to next weeks episode;

Ultrasonic Ringtones

by meanmcclean on July 16th, 2009

Its been a while since I had a post been really busy with work and getting a few things in my personal life together but I had to post this up as I find it quite interesting.

Maybe about a year or 2 ago I watched a news segment about kids in school using ringtones that their teachers couldn’t hear as a way to text in school, things of that nature. I can remember thinking to myself that “thats just crazy talk, whatever”.

The other day I stumbled upon this website that hosts ultrasonic ringtones to download. Thinking to myself well seeing as though I am not supposed to access my cell while at work, let me see if this really works. Well to my surprise it does and damn well.

I have since been noticing that people at the job actually do use these ringtones to stay connected. I have also found that my hearing as I age is still relatively strong. I can still hear the D# frequency which is approximately 19.9KHz. How well can you hear?

Test your frequency level here;

Success Stories

Success

I find that to often do people focus on the negative things that happen in their lives, leaving the positives to filter away as distant memories.  I wanted to start a new topic that focuses on success, outlining the steps taken towards achieving those goals.  Share your story and who knows maybe you will be an inspiration to someone in their times of negative thought.

I will post my weekly statistics on this post.
